Carolina Regional Cancer Center participated in the annual BFF (Breast Friends Forever) Pink Ribbon Run and Expo in North Myrtle Beach on March 6 – 7, 2015. More than 900 runners participated and over $13,000 was raised to benefit nonprofit organizations Caring In Our Lifetime and 21st Century C.A.R.E.
The money raised will help local cancer patients focus on beating the disease by providing assistance with everyday expenses such as transportation, childcare costs and groceries.
“We are delighted to have had such a great turnout this year and are proud to give back to cancer patients in our community,” says Sam Causey, Physician Liaison with Carolina Regional Cancer Center. “The funds raised will provide essential help to cancer patients in their time of need.”
21st Century C.A.R.E. is a nonprofit charitable foundation dedicated to helping cancer patients through financial assistance, cancer education and cancer screenings.
Caring In Our Lifetime is dedicated to raising funds and providing financial assistance with medical expenses to individuals in Horry and Georgetown counties affected by breast cancer.
