Anurag Agarwal, MD
Anurag Agarwal obtained double Board Certification in Radiation Oncology and Internal Medicine. He also completed fellowship training in the ultra-niche specialty of proton beam radiation at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Agarwal attended George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., and went to medical school at the GWU School of Medicine and Health Care Sciences. He completed his radiation oncology training at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, one of the leading academic centers for gene therapy and Stereotactic Radio Surgery (SRS).
Dr. Agarwal has extensive experience with CyberKnife SRS, as he treated his first patient using this technology in 2001 and helped establish the first CyberKnife program in Broward County. He is a Volunteer Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Clinical and Biomedical Science at the FAU Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton. He believes in a team approach to oncology, working closely with Medical Oncologists, Surgeons, and Primary Care Physicians. For urgent initial cancer evaluations, or for time-sensitive 2nd opinions, he can often schedule patients within 24 hours, if appropriate medical records and imaging discs are provided.
