John David, MD
Dr. John David is a radiation oncologist in Wellington, Florida. During medical school, Dr. David was recognized for his academic excellence as the top 1% of his class in 2011 and received the Honors Medical Student Scholarship. He was a Gold Humanism Award Nominee and in 2014 accepted the American College of Physicians Young Achievers Award.
Dr. David also served as a chief resident of radiation oncology in Beverly Hills at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, completing his training from 2016 to 2020. He trained with some of the most advanced techniques and technologies offered in Los Angeles under the former UCLA Brachytherapy Fellowship Director, Mitchell Kamrava, a world-renowned brachytherapy expert that sits as Board of Director for the American Brachytherapy Society. During this time, he published research articles in multiple internationally recognized medical journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology. Additionally, He received the ASCO GI Merit Award and Prostate HDR/LDR Brachytherapy Scholarship.
Dr. David has advanced sub-specialized training in brachytherapy, as well as extensive expert training in stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and stereotactic body radiation therapy/stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (SBRT/SABR).
Besides his passion for medicine, Dr. David enjoys staying active in multiple sports. He was a NCAA division 1 wrestling athlete in college at Michigan State University and also likes outdoor activities such as snowboarding and wakeboarding. Some of his other hobbies include cooking, fishing and traveling.
