Axxent® Electronic Brachytherapy (eBx™) by Xoft, Inc. is the newest innovation in brachytherapy and an exceptional treatment option for patients with skin cancer. When compared to traditional radiation treatment, eBx™ allows for shorter treatment schedules. It is ideal for surface tumors.Electronic Brachytherapy technology is unique because it uses a miniaturized x-ray source to treat the cancer, instead of the traditional radioactive seeds. This means that the shielding requirements are very minimal, and your radiation therapy team is able to remain in the treatment room with you, while maintaining the same exceptional cosmetic results.
